Perinatal Emotional Care

A space to talk, process, prepare, and feel supported.

Perinatal Emotional Care is one-on-one, non-clinical emotional support for the experiences that can come with fertility, pregnancy, pregnancy and infant loss, birth, and postpartum.

You don't need to be in crisis to reach for support. And you don't need a diagnosis, a particular reason, or even the right words for what you're feeling.

Maybe something is harder than you expected. Maybe you're carrying fear, grief, uncertainty, overwhelm, or feelings you haven't quite figured out yet. Maybe you're preparing for a transition you know may be emotionally challenging.

Or maybe nothing is wrong at all.

You simply want a space to check in with yourself and prepare for the emotional side of what lies ahead.

This is a place where you can bring what's happening now, process what has already happened, or prepare for what may be coming next.

You don't have to wait until it gets worse to ask for support.

What This Support Can Look Like

There isn't one particular reason you need to come here.

You might want support as you navigate a pregnancy after infertility or loss. You might be carrying grief after a pregnancy or infant loss, processing a birth that was difficult or simply different from what you expected, or trying to find your footing in postpartum.

You might be preparing for something that hasn't happened yet — a birth, a postpartum transition, a difficult conversation, a change in your family, or an experience you already know may bring up complicated emotions.

Sometimes the transition itself is the hard part. Becoming a parent. Becoming yourself again — or figuring out who that person is now. Adjusting to changes in your relationships, your body, your expectations, or the life you thought this season would look like.

And sometimes there isn't a single event to point to.

You just know you could use somewhere to put what you're feeling.

Support can also be proactive.

We prepare for birth. We prepare for feeding. We prepare for the baby. We can prepare for the emotional transition, too.

That might mean talking through fears before birth, thinking about what support could look like postpartum, identifying the people and resources around you, or simply creating a place to check in before you feel like you desperately need one.

Support doesn’t have to begin when something breaks. It can begin when something feels heavier than expected.

How I Can Support You

You don't have to come into a session knowing exactly what you need from it.

We can start with what's happening, what you're feeling, or what has been taking up space in your mind — and figure out together what would feel most helpful.

Sometimes that means simply having room to talk and be heard. Other times, we might work together to make sense of what you're feeling, untangle thoughts that feel difficult to organize, process an experience, prepare emotionally for something ahead, or think through a conversation you know you need to have.

We can also explore what support you already have around you, what might be missing, and what resources or next steps could be helpful.

My approach is informed by my background in Clinical Psychology, coaching, and years of working alongside families throughout the perinatal experience.

I draw from that foundation to listen carefully, ask meaningful questions, notice what may need a little more attention, and help you explore what you're experiencing without deciding for you what it should mean or what you should do next.

Sometimes the goal isn't to fix what you're feeling. It's to give you space to understand it, express it, and feel supported as you move through it.

How We Can Work Together

You don’t have to know how much support you’ll need before you begin.

You may come for one conversation and find that it’s enough. You may want to come back as something changes or something new comes up. Or you may find that having a consistent place to check in feels helpful for a while.

Initial Perinatal Emotional Care Session

$125USD

90 minutes

A place to start.

We’ll talk about what you’re navigating, what feels most important right now, and what kind of support would be most helpful to you.

You may come with something specific you want to process or prepare for — or we can simply start with where you are.

Follow-Up Session

$95USD

60 minutes

For returning clients who would like to continue the conversation, process something new, or have ongoing support as things unfold.

We can pick up where we left off or start with whatever feels most important now.

Additional sessions can be scheduled as needed. There is no required number of sessions or ongoing commitment.

Not sure if this is the kind of support you need?

You don’t have to figure that out before reaching out.

If you’re not sure whether Perinatal Emotional Care is the right fit for what you’re navigating, we can start with a conversation.

Tell me a little about what’s bringing you here, ask whatever questions you have, and we’ll see whether this kind of support feels right for you.
