A postpartum doula is a trained professional who can provide education, care and support to the family after the birth of a new baby. Postpartum doulas have experience in recovering from any type of childbirth, baby care and breastfeeding. They provide non-judgmental support while meeting the general needs of the family and smoothening this transition period.
They do not provide medical care to clients but can provide families with important information so they can make informed decisions.

Breastfeeding can a dreamed experience, but sometimes, especially at the beginning, can also be challenging for some new parents and babies. The postpartum doula can educate and give basic tips for breastfeeding success. In case there is something more specific or beyond my scope of practice, I can refer you to a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Recovering from a vaginal birth, a cesarean or a difficult birth experience can be a full-time job. An essential part of healing and recovery includes a proper nutrition. The postpartum Doula will make sure you always have nutritious snacks perfect for the Postpartum and breastfeeding stage.
Grocery store, Drug store, etc. I’m here to help you with that.
The Postpartum doula is happy to care for your baby while you and your partner get some well-deserved and much needed sleep. You will only be interrupted when baby needs to nurse (in case you are breastfeeding), or if you want to pump. If your baby is being bottle fed you can leave that to me, along with the diaper changes and baby care. At the end of the shift I will provide you with a complete and detailed schedule of how the night was for baby.
I’m very involved in the birth community and have established relationships with many professionals throughout the Houston area and surroundings. If needed, I can give you access to a network of different providers including lactation specialists, chiropractors, placenta encapsulation specialists, pediatricians and more.
